Ruben Barrera

My Story

Ruben Barrera, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, embarked on his entrepreneurial journey after graduating from Gregory Portland High School. He furthered his education at Texas A&M University Kingsville, earning a Bachelor's Degree.

With over 23 years of Business-to-Business entrepreneurial experience, Ruben wears multiple hats within his companies. 

As the President of Barrera Business Ventures (BBV), he oversees a diverse portfolio of business ventures. 

As the President at QuickStart Business Services, he leads a dedicated team specializing in both software and hardware technology solutions for construction companies and small businesses here in the Coastal Bend. 

As the President of H&B Consultants, he and his partners empower restaurant and hospitality owners with cutting-edge technology products and services. 

Additionally, as the President of Wireless Integrated Technologies, Ruben focuses on crafting custom safety technology solutions for oil and gas construction companies.

Ruben is an inventor, problem solver, and is dedicated to the advancement of small businesses here in the Coastal Bend. Ruben has led multiple initiatives that have assisted his clients with scaling their businesses from 1 to multiple locations with some clients reaching 9 figure sales goals.

Ruben currently serves as the President of Northwest Business Association. 

Family plays a central role in Ruben's life, as he is happily married to Sofia Barrera, his partner in both life and business. Together, they raise four children, with their oldest son already contributing to the family businesses.

In his leisure time, Ruben enjoys bonding with his son over tennis, unwinding with fishing trips among friends, and indulging his passion for Formula One racing.
