Dhiren Bhakta: A Journey Through Hospitality and Community Leadership

Born in Panama, Dhiren Bhakta had the unique opportunity to grow up across three diverse countries: India, the United States, and his birthplace. Multilingual by nature, Dhiren is fluent in English, Spanish, Gujarati, and Hindi, reflecting his rich cultural background and adaptability.
Professionally, Dhiren is the Director of Operations for ZJZ Hospitality, Inc. In this role, he oversees the operations of two prominent hotels: the Best Western Northwest Corpus Christi Inn & Suites and the Best Western Plus Executive Residency IH-37 Corpus Christi. His responsibilities include ensuring these establishments operate efficiently while exceeding guest satisfaction and maintaining high brand standards.

Dhiren’s passion for the hospitality industry was ignited during his teenage years when his parents purchased an independent motel in San Antonio in late 1997. Guided by his parents and gaining invaluable experience at a branded hotel, Dhiren's entrepreneurial journey led him to Corpus Christi in 2006. There, he became the owner-operator of the Comfort Inn & Suites, which he successfully renovated and rebranded as the Best Western Northwest Corpus Christi Inn & Suites.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dhiren has been an active member of the Northwest Business Association for over a decade, including more than five years as a board member. His commitment to community service extends to his roles as a board member for the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi Northwest and the Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj. Dhiren has also served on the boards of the Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj of San Antonio, the Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj of USA, and the Robstown Area Development Commission. Furthermore, he has contributed as a mini-grant judge for the Calallen Education Foundation.

Beyond his professional and community endeavors, Dhiren enjoys playing golf and riding his road bike with the Knight Riders, a cycling group known for its camaraderie and shared passion for biking. This diverse group of enthusiasts comes together several times a week to enjoy their common interest in cycling and the strong bonds they form along the way.
Dhiren attributes his success to the unwavering support of his parents, his children, and most importantly, his wife, Dipu Bhakta. He acknowledges that without their support, none of his achievements would have been possible.

Dhiren Bhakta’s journey is a testament to his dedication to the hospitality industry and his unwavering commitment to community service, making him a respected leader both professionally and personally.
